Ana Carolina Castillo Solís

Ana Carolina Castillo is a Partner and co-leads the Energy and ESG practice groups at Morgan & Morgan. She also has a prominent role in the Securities & Capital Markets, Banking & Finance, Antitrust & Consumer Protection, and Corporate & Commercial Law practices.

With more than 10 years of experience, Ana Carolina advises investors, developers and financial entities (including multilateral) in the development, acquisition, financing, construction and operation of the most important power plants in Panama, including hydro, wind, photovoltaic. and LNG combined cycle. Her legal advice covers financial, regulatory, environmental, and commercial aspects, which has allowed her to develop a complete and comprehensive understanding of the business, being key in the negotiation of complex contracts. Ana Carolina has extensive experience advising on the negotiation of construction contracts and claims related to the energy and infrastructure projects she advises, including in international commercial arbitrations, some under FIDIC models.

Ana Carolina also has a track record in capital markets, participating in numerous transactions, some with cross-border components, advising both issuers and arrangers on both debt and equity issues in different industries such as energy, financial, real estate and retail, including thematic bond issues, investment funds (private and public), securitizations, and REITs.

She actively provides advice on Corporate and Commercial Law to clients from different industries, such as energy, technology, telecommunications, radio and television, ports, banking, and insurance, among others, in the negotiation of strategic alliances and other commercial agreements. Ana Carolina has also played a notable role in mergers and acquisitions of important companies in the energy, banking, insurance, potable water, distribution of pharmaceutical products, and food sectors.
