Alysha has a broad employment and labour law practice. She provides practical advice to employers in all areas of employment and labour law, including pre-employment and hiring issues, employment standards, human rights, labour relations, workplace safety and insurance, privacy, occupational health and safety, and wrongful dismissal. She also frequently assists clients with the negotiation and drafting of employment, consulting and termination agreements, and coordinates employment law advice among lawyers in various Canadian jurisdictions for clients with employment law needs across Canada.
Alysha regularly represents and advocates for clients in employment related litigation on matters of significant reputational importance, including wrongful dismissal actions and human rights applications. She also regularly speaks and provides client training sessions on various employment law topics.
A large part of Alysha’s practice involves advising on the employment and labour aspects of complex corporate transactions, including the drafting and negotiation of purchase agreements and related executive employment, retention, transaction bonus, non-competition and non-solicitation agreements. She also advises on post-closing human resources integration matters.
