Ali is a partner in Freshfields’ dispute resolution practice in London. She has a wide-ranging practice based on managing both complex, large-scale litigation, as well as investigations in areas including fraud and bribery. Ali specialises in complex contractual disputes. This includes, in particular, disputes arising in a pre- and post- M&A context, as well as shareholder disputes arising (and following) from investigations and allegations of wrongdoing. In 2020, Ali advised on the landmark Covid-19 related contractual dispute in Travelport v WEX [2020] EWHC 2670, which is one of the leading English law cases on material adverse effect.
