Stephan specialises in business and product related regulatory law and regulatory driven disputes and investigations. He is one of the most experienced lawyers for public law law driven litigation in Austria.

Career

Before joining Freshfields in 2005, Stephan worked as a research fellow at the Austrian Constitutional Court for over five years. He is Head of the Vienna DR Practice, team leader for EPR (Environment, Products, Regulatory), and European coordinator of Freshfields’ Global Sanctions group (GST). Stephan became partner in 2015.
