Aaron Gavant helps his clients navigate virtually all types of distress, restructuring, and bankruptcy scenarios across a range of industries. He is adept at crafting strategic solutions, inside and outside of court, both in connection with more traditional workout matters as well as in other unique, special situations.

In the restructuring arena, Aaron champions the interests of a diverse set of stakeholders from financial institutions and indenture trustees to non-traditional credit providers, committees and buyers and sellers in distressed M&A transactions. Aaron offers a unique blend of practical problem-solving solutions where possible and aggressive advocacy when necessary, helping clients to achieve their strategic objectives.

At the same time, Aaron is also well-versed in the world of structured finance special situations, representing trustees, special servicers, and administrative agents across various industries and deal types. From residential mortgage-backed securities transactions to energy and student loan deals to whole business securitizations, Aaron's experience spans the spectrum of complex financial instruments allowing him to navigate oftentimes complicated issues in a real-world and effective way.

Aaron serves as a Barnes & Thornburg AI Practice Champion, one of nearly 40 attorneys across the firm designated to advance the practical use of AI within their practice group and help translate the firm's AI strategy into day-to-day client work.
