As co-chair of the firm's Data Security and Privacy group, Scott brings a proven track record of securing substantial recoveries for his clients, including in groundbreaking cyber insurance cases.

By tackling difficult, often untested issues, he crafts innovative strategies that focus on maximizing the chances of recovery. His thorough understanding of insurance law, combined with a practical problem-solving mindset, allows Scott to find tailored solutions for each client's unique challenges.

Scott's abilities are also evident in cybersecurity- and privacy-related claims. Since 2008, he has guided clients through insurance coverage for technology risks, litigating landmark cases involving cyber insurance policy coverage disputes. His experience spans ransomware, business email compromise, data breaches, and other emerging tech-related challenges.

Beyond cybersecurity, Scott's practice encompasses a wide range of insurance disputes. He has obtained insurance coverage for business interruption, property damage, and mass tort liabilities, directors and officers liability, class actions, and other losses. He has taken numerous coverage and bad faith claims to trial and handled appeals around the country. Scott's trial experience extends to federal contract and bid protest disputes, as well as a significant Section 337 investigation, showcasing his versatility as a litigator.
