As an example of pollinating our areas of expertise, our Team called on to counsel companies, boards and executives navigate inter alia on opportunities and challenges presented by emerging technologies and trends in AI, Fintech, Data Privacy , Blockchain and Crypto currency as well as on traditional issues such as Corporate Governance and regulatory compliances under new statutes impacting different sectors.

■ Advised Google LLC in one of the largest strategic investments (in India) in Jio Platforms Ltd for an investment of US$ 4.5 billion.
■ Advised Mastercard International in its 100% acquisition of Finicity Corporation Inc and its subsidiary, Finicity Technologies Private Limited.
■ Advised IndiaBulls Real Estate Limited in the proposed merger of NAM Estates Private Limited and Embassy One Commercial Property Developments Private Limited, both Embassy Group entities with IBREL. IBREL is one of the largest finance companies in the housing space in India.
■ Advising the Tata Group, GIC Infra Holdings Pte. Ltd and SSG Capital Management (Singapore) Pte. Ltd in connection with their proposed investment of USD 1.09 billion in GMR Airports Limited airport business.

Finance:
JSA’s market leading finance practice caters to the needs of banks, NBFCs, asset reconstruction companies, multilateral financial institutions, developmental finance institutions, export credit agencies, funds, investors, corporates, investment banks and market intermediaries for raising and lending money in the form of credit facilities, debt capital market instruments and equity capital market instruments.

■ Advised M/s IndInfravit Trust (an infrastructure investment trust sponsored by L&T Infrastructure Development Projects Limited) in relation to an issue of non-convertible debentures up to INR 2,150 Crores.
■ Advised Axis Capital Limited and ICICI Securities Limited in relation to the initial public offering of Rossari Biotech Limited.

Disputes:

JSA has the widest and deepest commercial and regulatory disputes capacity in the field of complex multi-jurisdictional, multi-disciplinary dispute resolution with domain experts and a strong team of dedicated litigators across the country.

■ Defending Google India Digital Services Private Limited before Supreme Court of India in public interest litigation raising concerns over data sharing, data localization, data privacy, offshore data processing of the data of citizens of India using UPI platforms, including Google Pay.
■ Represented Deutsche Bank (the largest financial creditor) in proceedings before the Hon’ble Supreme Court and National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT).
■Successfully represented Adani Rajasthan, a thermal power generating company in an Appeal preferred by Rajasthan Discoms before the Supreme Court of India- challenging the Appellate Tribunal’s judgment.
