Mr. Bitran has over 15 years of professional experience in compliance matters, advising both national and international companies and institutions. His practice has centered on providing strategic guidance in the design, implementation, and evaluation of compliance programs for organizations of diverse sizes and industries.
He specializes in helping clients navigate complex regulatory environments by adopting global best practices while fostering and sustaining strong ethical corporate cultures. In addition to his professional work, Yoab has extensive academic and teaching experience and currently serves as Academic Director of Thomson Reuters’ LatAm Compliance Diploma.
Recognized for his expertise, he is a frequent speaker at national and international forums on compliance, best practices, and the challenges of an evolving market. His previous roles include serving as Head of LRN Latin America, International Associate at Chadbourne & Parke, and legal counsel at Chile’s National Petroleum Company, ENAP.
His notable experience includes advising a leading Chilean company on the development of its global ethics and compliance program; assessing the compliance program of a Mexican multinational against international best standards; and working closely with the board and executive management of a Brazilian multinational to drive corporate culture change following a corruption case.
He is also a regular referee for the media on compliance-related matters.
