He has more than 30 years of professional career and his practice is focused to the business world, corporate governance, and boards. He has extensive experience and knowledge in matters related to mergers and acquisitions, financial law, project finance, regulatory and corporate compliance, start-ups, venture capital, and private equity.

Rodrigo actively advises companies, shareholders, boards of directors and senior management of organizations at a national and international level, supporting their professionalization and succession processes, as well as in the implementation of corporate compliance models and legal risk management.

He led the establishment of the az Compliance practice area and structured the team. During 2021, he promoted Compliance as one of the three strategic pillars of the firm (along with technology and venture capital), focusing on its development as a strategic group that works cross sectionally with associated lawyers in all practice areas.

Likewise, he led the design and development of “Compliance Latam” (https://compliancelatam.legal/quienes-somos/), a platform focused on Compliance that brings together the most prestigious law firms in the region in the field, to share local regulations, best practices and relevant topics. The platform is aimed at Compliance Officers, Legal Managers, General Managers, and other relevant actors of this area of practice.

On the other hand, Mr. Albagli has provided strategic advice in corporate and compliance matters to leading companies across various industries. He supported Scale Capital, as a shareholder of a leading Latin American payment services provider, in a corporate restructuring aimed at securing Series A financing through investment funds and a convertible loan. He also advised a major telecommunications company in Chile, with more than 80 retail outlets, in connection with a complaint involving alleged antitrust violations, supplier fraud, and bribery.

In the aquaculture sector, he counseled a multinational company in southern Chile following a supplier’s complaint alleging that an employee had solicited illicit payments to maintain a contractual relationship. He also advised a gastronomy company in the Metropolitan Region after identifying misappropriation of assets linked to accounting errors.

Currently, he advises a technology startup in its growth and internationalization process, managing its legal needs across several markets where it already operates. His work includes the corporate structuring of the holding company and supporting the company’s fundraising efforts in preparation for its Series A round, which is aimed at driving its global expansion.
