Valentin Berea is a Partner of RTPR. He specialises in arbitration and dispute resolution, competition and intellectual property.

Valentin is included on the list of arbitrators of the Bucharest International Arbitration Court attached to the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AmCham) and is a member of the Administrative Council of this court.

He is also a certified intellectual property counsellor for trademarks and industrial designs and has worked for many years as an assistant professor teaching contract law at Bucharest Law University.

Who’s Who of Competition Lawyers has included Valentin for the last 10 years among the list of top 10 competition law specialists in Romania, a list that is prepared exclusively based on peers’ feedback.

RTPR competition litigators reduce nearly EUR 8 million fine to below EUR 500,000

RTPR competition litigation team managed to reduce a fine imposed by the Competition Council on the insurance market at the end of 2018, from almost 8 million euros to under 500,000, through a court decision that cannot be challenged any longer, after the rejection of 3 extraordinary appeals.
