Ulf Kreppel

With more than 20 years' experience, Ulf Kreppel advises on all transactional and advisory aspects of structured finance matters, with a strong focus on securitizations involving a broad variety of asset classes, including loans and leases, trade receivables, residential and commercial mortgage loans and consumer assets. As part of the European securitization team, he represents global financial institutions and corporates (including fintechs), as well as alternative funding providers, in connection with the structuring and execution of structured finance transactions in Europe. Ulf's experience includes traditional and synthetic securitizations, asset-based lending and covered bond financings, each as part of term transactions, warehousing deals, multiseller platforms or asset-backed commercial paper programs. Ulf has worked on a significant number of European 'simple, transparent and standardized' (STS) securitizations and regularly advises on regulatory matters under the European Securitisation Regulation. Ulf has also been a driving force in the digitalization of structured financing transactions and has advised a major credit institution on the implementation of a blockchain-based issuance and settlement process in an asset-backed commercial paper program, allowing investors almost real-time investment opportunities.
