Ulf Kreppel

Career

With more than 25 years' experience, Ulf Kreppel advises on all transactional and advisory aspects of structured finance matters, with a strong focus on securitizations involving a broad variety of asset classes, including loans and leases, trade receivables, residential and commercial mortgage loans and consumer assets. As a key member of the European securitization team, he advises global financial institutions and corporates (including fintechs), as well as alternative funding providers, on all aspects of structured finance transactions in Europe. Ulf's experience includes traditional and synthetic securitizations, asset-based lending and covered bond financings, each as part of term transactions, warehousing deals, multiseller platforms or asset-backed commercial paper programs. Ulf has worked on a significant number of European 'simple, transparent and standardized' (STS) securitizations and regularly advises on regulatory matters under the European Securitisation Regulation. Ulf has also been a driving force in the digitalization of structured financing transactions and has advised a major ABCP sponsor on the implementation of a blockchain-based issuance and settlement process in an asset-backed commercial paper program.
