Tony is the managing partner of Freshfields’ Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City offices, and has unparalleled knowledge and experience of business in Vietnam. He has lived and practiced in Hanoi since 1994, helping clients work through the issues in doing business in Vietnam, and is responsible for the work of our Vietnamese and foreign lawyers, one of the best legal teams in the country. The team has helped foreign clients in landmark deals in Vietnam for over 28 years, and Tony is consistently recognised by all law firm surveys as one of the best lawyers in Vietnam.

Tony is widely respected by clients and peers as a leading lawyer Vietnam. He is the co-author of Vietnam Corporate Acquisitions and Mergers, a book published by Wolters Kluwer, now in its sixth edition.

Tony is the head of the Infrastructure Working Group and on the Steering Committee of the Environment Working Group of the Vietnam Business Forum, the inter-chamber group led by the IFC, which meets on a regular basis with the Government to discuss issues of Vietnam.
