Tom’s practice focuses on criminal law and criminal procedure in general, and white-collar crime and human rights law in particular. He regularly acts before Belgian courts at all levels, including the Court of Cassation, in criminal cases.
He has been a partner at Eubelius since 2015 and a member of the Brussels Bar since 2001.
He obtained a law degree at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2001.
Tom is a member of the Tuchtraad voor advocaten van het rechtsgebied Brussel / Conseil de discipline pour les avocats néerlandophones du ressort de la Cour d’appel de Bruxelles.
He lectures on criminal procedure law at the Police Academy (ad hoc) and on criminal law and criminal procedure law at the training school of the Nederlandse Orde van Advocaten in Brussels. He is a member of various commissions at the Orde van Vlaamse Balies and the Nederlandse Orde van Advocaten in Brussels concerning criminal law, money laundering and domiciliary visits/duty of professional confidentiality.
Tom is a regular speaker at conferences on criminal law, contributes to legal publications on this subject.
