Tiago de Mattos is a highly respected Mining Law specialist with extensive experience advising and representing companies across the full spectrum of mining-related legal matters. A graduate of UFMG, he holds an LLM from the Centre for Energy, Petroleum, and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) at the University of Dundee and a Master’s degree in Socio-economic and Environmental Sustainability from UFOP. He has also completed executive training in extractive industries and sustainable development at Columbia University.

He has co-authored several reference works in the field, including Mining Law Dictionary and Mining, Environmental and Tax Issues in Mining Law, and is consistently ranked by Chambers, The Legal 500 and Lexology for his distinguished work in the sector.
