Therese works with large financial services institutions, industrial companies, technology companies, food products companies and drug companies on data risk management, which involves managing the legal and regulatory issues relating to data breaches and data privacy; cross-border data transfers; data migrations; cyber-security; technology implementation and management; e-discovery strategy and management; compliance and risk management; and the remediation of legacy data.
Therese regularly represents clients in negotiations with state and federal regulators, over matters involving data security, cross-border data transfers, data retention and remediation, and internal data governance. Therese also works with clients to manage supply-chain and vendor risk and minimize the risks associated with data segregation, transfer and retention in mergers and acquisitions and during technology transactions
Therese advises clients on all aspects of the discovery and management of electronic information, including the development of policies and procedures for the preservation, collection, review and production of electronically stored information, and other issues that matter to federal regulators and the courts.
