Practice Areas

With nearly two decades of experience, Clément focuses his practice on international commercial and investment arbitration.

Clément advises on major litigation and arbitration proceedings. He acts for French and international clients in arbitrations seated across the globe and has particular experience in complex disputes in the construction, energy and infrastructure, mining, defense and distribution sectors, as well as with joint ventures and post-acquisition disputes.

In addition to his experience as counsel, Clément acts as an arbitrator in domestic and international arbitrations (ICC). He is recognized as a leading arbitration practitioner by major independent legal directories, which note his extensive experience and diversity of legal skills.

Clément is a co-founder of Paris Arbitration Week (PAW) and a former member of the PAW board. He is a member of the Arbitration Committee of the Centre de Médiation et d’Arbitrage de Paris (CMAP), a board member and treasurer of the Comité Français de l’Arbitrage (CFA), and a founding member of AfricArb (an association which promotes arbitration in Africa).

Clément is a regular lecturer, author and conference speaker on international arbitration matters. He co-authored the treatise Le droit français de l’arbitrage, alongside Matthieu de Boisséson and Jessica Madesclair, which was published in 2023.
