Eric Lin

Eric is a partner based in Reed Smith’s Beijing and Hong Kong offices. He has significant experience in international M&A, projects and project finance, energy and natural resources projects and foreign direct investment in China. He has particular experience in advising on China outbound and inbound investment projects.

Eric has led on the structuring and development of complex foreign investment matters in China, with some of them being first-of-their-kind or multi-billion dollar joint venture projects. Over the past few years, Eric has also built a successful China outbound practice that has advised on, or completed, transactions for Chinese clients in multiple jurisdictions. These include the UK, the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Greece, Russia, Ukraine, Israel, South Africa, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Zambia, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Djibouti, Mongolia, Pakistan, and Indonesia. In the energy and natural resources sector, Eric has extensive experience in power, mining and oil & gas projects.
