Stuart is head of Osbornes’ award-winning personal injury department and the firm’s managing partner.

Since joining Osbornes in 1994 Stuart has built a heavyweight injury litigation practice, specialising in brain and complex injury cases. He is “incredibly empathetic and very knowledgeable about traumatic brain injury” (Chambers UK, 2019). “Enormously experienced” (Legal 500)

Stuart specialises in complex brain injury cases and is a highly experienced trial lawyer.

Stuart leads the department's cycling team and has developed a niche practice in cycling claims. The firm is the exclusive legal partner to the London Cycling Campaign (LCC) of which Stuart serves as a trustee.

Career

Since joining Osbornes in 1994 Stuart has built a heavyweight injury litigation practice, specialising in brain and complex injury cases. He has also grown the department into one of the UK’s leading PI teams, noted for its “exceptional service, great knowledge and understanding of the law, excellent client care and tactical nous.

Professional Memberships

Stuart was elected to the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers’ National Executive Committee in 2007 and served for nine years, including three years as APIL’s elected company secretary.

Stuart is a trustee of the London Cycling Campaign (LCC)

Stuart was also a member of the Law Society’s policy-making body the Law Society Council and its Civil Justice Committee from 2010 to 2013.

He is an approved solicitor for Headway – the brain injury association, and for the Brain Injury Group

He is a Fellow of APIL, as well as an appointed member of the Forum of Complex Injury Solicitors (FOCIS)
