Chair, Construction Contracting & Risk Management Practice Group. Concentrates in construction law and related litigation. Represents owners and developers, construction managers, general contractors, subcontractors and design professionals in preparation and negotiation of contract documents for construction in New Jersey and New York. Experience in construction litigation defending and asserting claims on behalf of owners, developers, condominium associations, general contractors, design professionals, subcontractors, vendors and sureties involved in public and private construction projects. Experience with claims and disputes involving change orders and extra work, construction defects, design and performance defects, errors and omissions/professional malpractice, building code violations, project management, delay and disruption, acceleration, liquidated damages, lost productivity, site conditions, warranties, project closeout, construction liens, municipal mechanic’s liens, condominium liens, payment and performance bonds, public contracting and violations under NJ Consumer Fraud Act.

Career

Frequent author and lecturer for national and local audiences on construction topics, including AIA contract documents and decennial changes, construction claims and defenses, ethics in construction project management and ADR.
