Seung Hyuck Han

Seung Hyuck Han is a partner of Yulchon who mainly practices in the areas of antitrust law, telecommunications and broadcasting, and information and communication technology. Specifically, Mr. Han plays a leading role in the Telecommunications and Media area of Yulchon’s ICT practice.

As a TMT expert with more than a decade of practice experience, Mr. Han has represented numerous multinational corporations including Netflix, Facebook, Agoda, AMD and Samsung Electronics. Especially, Mr. Han is showing his talents in M&A regulatory practice in TMT industry. He successfully represented Samsung Electronics’ intervention in Microsoft’s acquisition of Nokia’s hand-held device business in 2015. Also, he successfully represented SK Telecom (Korea’s largest mobile carrier) and SK Broadband (one of Korea’s largest IPTV providers) in a proposed acquisition of Tbroad (Korea’s 2nd largest cable TV system operator) following also his successful representation of KT in its action to intervene in SK Telecom’s 2016 acquisition of CJ Hellovision (Korea’s largest cable TV system operators).

Also he serves as a member of the KCC’s Personal Information Advisory Committee and provides legal advice regarding privacy laws as well as a member of Viewer’s Right Protection Committee. He is also a member of the Ministry of Science and ICT (“MSICT”) Information Disclosure Committee.
