Ms. Seong-Eun Cho is currently a partner at Shin & Kim and her practice focuses on structured finance, foreign investment, and general corporate matters.
Since joining the firm, Ms. Cho has gained extensive experience in structured finance, such as asset-backed securitization transactions, regulatory matters for financial institutions, and M&A and P&A matters for financial institutions. She also has broad experience in the establishment, operation, and general corporate matters of subsidiaries and branches of foreign companies in Korea. In particular, she has successfully advised leading foreign investors and a number of domestic financial institutions on structured finance matters, and has a wide range of experience in the regulation of financial institutions, including the advisory services on the regulation of specialized credit finance business entities and savings banks. Ms. Cho is proficient in English and has a strong understanding of the businesses of foreign companies and has been actively advising foreign companies on their subsidiaries and branches in Korea.
Ms. Cho graduated from the College of Law at Yonsei University and completed the 40th judicial training course at the Judicial Research and Training Institute. She also completed a Corporate Governance and Practice Program and earned her LL.M from Stanford Law School.
