Career
Rene Yang began practicing law in mainland China in 1999 and registered as a "Foreign Lawyer" with the Hong Kong Law Society in 2007. She serves as an Arbitrator at the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA) and the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization (AALCO) Hong Kong Arbitration Centre. She specializes in corporate & securities, cross-border, and dispute resolution matters, with extensive experience serving listed companies, central and state-owned enterprises, as well as government and Party organs.
Her honors include being named "Guangzhou Foreign-Related Leading Lawyer", inclusion in China Business Law Journal's "The A-List" Legal Elite, and recognition as "Brand Star in Dispute Resolution" by Legal Spring.
Attorney Yang is dedicated to advancing foreign-related rule of law. She currently holds several important roles, including Deputy Director of the Ministry of Justice’s Belt and Road Legal Services Alliance Guangzhou Center, Director of the Guangdong Provincial Belt and Road Legal Services Research Center, Deputy Head of the Guangdong Foreign-Related Economic and Trade Lawyers Delegation, and Chairperson of the Guangzhou International Commercial Legal Service Center. She is also listed in several national and regional talent pools, including the Guangdong Foreign-Related Leading Talent Pool, the Ministry of Justice’s 1,000 Foreign-Related Lawyers Talent Pool, the Guangdong Foreign-Related Rule of Law Talent Pool, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Foreign-Related Rule of Law Talent Pool.
