She holds a law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University (PUC-SP), 2000; a specialist degree in Environmental Management from the University of São Paulo (USP), 2002; and a master's degree in Civil Procedural Law from the same institution, 2009.
Renata has been working in environmental law for 20 years, providing legal and institutional advice in litigation and consultancy in the civil and administrative spheres. She has worked on high-profile cases on the national scene, advising companies from a wide range of sectors (automotive, agribusiness, mining, electricity, solid waste, sugar and alcohol, construction, among others) in their interface with environmental agencies and other government authorities. She has extensive experience in environmental litigation, acting in numerous public civil actions and civil inquiries, and actively participating in negotiations for terms of conduct adjustment. Renata is also a lecturer in Environmental Law on the post-graduate course in Environmental Management run by POLI/USP.
