Rebecca Steer is the founder of Steer & Co. Steer & Co is an award-winning commercial law firm, specialising in the media, creative and digital, technology and IP sectors. Rebecca advises clients in the technology sector from hard IP licensing, technology transfers for semiconductor and related clients to software and firmware development agreements. She advises clients on major technology outsource projects, supply chain & chip manufacturing agreements, collaboration and development projects. Recent work includes advising artificial intelligence company Graphcore on all aspects of its business, advising XMOS on its voice recognition products and a series of high value digital and data projects. Rebecca works closely with trade group Bristol Media, and provides advice to a number of creative digital agencies. She has considerable experience in gaming, social media and online platforms. Rebecca advises production and brand/merchandise companies on production, option, distribution and licensing projects. Recent work includes advising Weirdy Rhymes Limited on the distribution of the late Terry Brain’s animations via the Aardman online platform.
