Raymond Sheley’s practice concentrates on all aspects of real estate law, including private equity fund formation, mixed-use developments, joint ventures, leasing and other transactional matters. Specifically, he serves as fund counsel to several regional industrial development companies based in Atlanta as well as an Atlanta based real estate opportunity fund. He also represents a number of national developers and institutional portfolio owners.

Mr. Sheley has extensive experience representing developers in their acquisition and development of office, industrial, retail, hotel and mixed-use projects including the joint venture structure of each project.

Career

Prior to forming Sheley, Hall & Williams, P.C., Mr. Sheley was a partner with King & Spalding in Atlanta.

Education:

B.B.A. in finance from Georgia Southern College

J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law, cum laude.

Currently, pursuing a Master of Real Estate from Georgetown University.

Mr. Sheley has spoken extensively at regional and national real estate conferences on a wide range of topics, is a periodic speaker for Georgia Tech’s graduate level course on real estate, and has been recognized by Chambers USA as one of the leading real estate attorneys in Georgia.
