Raquel heads the People and Reward practice in Spain. She has 25 years of professional career at Freshfields, and was appointed to the partnership in 2008. She is also co-head of Global Markets.
She specialises in global recruitment and retention issues, redundancies (both individual and collective), cross-border transactions, outsourcing projects, business transfers, global investigations, whistleblowing, remuneration policies, discrimination and harassment claims, human rights and economy-on-demand. She advises domestic and international cliets on both advisory and contentious work.
She is an officer of the Diversity and Equality Law Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA), the Spanish board member of the European Employment Lawyers Association (EELA) and a member of Spain's national associations of labour law specialists ASNALA and FORELAB. She is a usual speaker in conferences, and has written several articles on employment law and diversity issues.
