Paul Abrahams is Head of the PSQB Teesside office and Deputy Head of Chambers.
He was called to the Bar in 2002 and is one of the busiest and senior juniors on circuit. He has extensive experience in dealing with the most serious and complex cases for both the prosecution and defence. He is highly regarded for his case preparation, his ability to organise complex cases and for his to the point advocacy.
Paul has extensive experience prosecuting serious sexual offences, particularly cases involving vulnerable and young witnesses. His ability to handle victims and witnesses in a sensitive, thoughtful and caring manner is well regarded. He also prosecutes cases involving serious violence, such as Manslaughter and Attempt Murder, fraud and organised crime conspiracies.
In respect of his defence practice Paul has extensive experience in handling the most serious of Defence cases, involving Attempt Murder, Manslaughter, S.18, Rape and complex organised crime prosecutions. He also frequently appears as the lead Defendant in multi handed cases and has been led in a significant number of murder cases.
