Patrick counsels emerging companies in several industry verticals, including biotechnology, digital health, cannabis, software, e-commerce, edtech and cleantech. He has counseled on hundreds of venture financings and strategic transactions throughout his career. As a result, Patrick brings a deep understanding of both the unique legal challenges and marketplace realities facing clients within the industries he serves.

Patrick serves as co-chair of the firm’s Business Department, a 190 professional team he helps lead across training, professional development, client development, hiring and staffing. As a former co-chair of the Emerging Companies and Venture Capital practice, he continues to support innovation ecosystems such as MassChallenge, MIT and Harvard University.
