For over a decade and a half, Patrick Baldwin has counseled and advised public and private strategic and emerging growth companies and sponsors and their portfolio companies in connection with their significant transactions, with a focus on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions and complex joint ventures and other equity investment transactions. He has helped clients structure, navigate, and complete buy- and sell-side mergers, acquisitions, carveouts, de-SPAC (special-purpose acquisition companies) business combinations, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures, corporate reorganizations and restructurings, venture capital and later-stage equity financings, and private investment in public equity (PIPE) investments. Patrick understands the needs of and has represented clients in a wide range of industries, including retail, traditional and digital media, chemicals, energy and utilities, building products, pharmaceuticals, real estate investment, transportation and logistics, software, fintech, robotics, and other technology. Patrick's practice also includes advising clients on general corporate governance issues and negotiating key customer, supplier, and vendor contracts. Patrick also serves in his local community, including as a member of the board of directors of KIPP Atlanta Schools, a nonprofit that supports and manages local tuition free public charter schools, and a former member of the board of directors of the Piedmont Park Conservancy, a nonprofit charged with operating Atlanta's largest greenspace, Piedmont Park. Before attending law school, Patrick managed commercial construction projects ranging in value from $2.5 million to $65 million.
