Career

Patricia Beckett graduated in law from Middlesex University in 1997.

Patricia joined our firm in 1998 and qualified as a solicitor in 2002. She was made a partner in 2010.

Patricia really enjoys the challenges of financial remedy work, including the preparation of nuptial agreements, and has experience in cases involving substantial assets, as well as modest income and asset cases, which can be trickier to resolve in practice. Resolution by negotiation is always her aim.

She has a particular interest in Children Act cases, especially representing parents in complex care proceedings where non-accidental injuries are alleged. Patricia has a wealth of experience in representing clients with mental health conditions and learning difficulties. She is regularly instructed by the Official Solicitor on behalf of vulnerable clients. She has significant experience in cases involving domestic abuse and parental alienation allegations.

Patricia has been a Legal 500 recommended lawyer since 2016. Patricia is ranked in Chambers and Partners 2025 in the category of Family/Children Law – London.

Patricia has been a member of the Law Society Family Law Panel since 2005. Patricia is also a member of the Law Society Advanced Family Panel in the areas of Private Law Children & Violence in the Home. Patricia is a member of the Association of Lawyers for Children and Resolution.
