The firm also specialises in judicial review remedies in community care law. The public law team have a specific contract with the Legal Aid Agency to bring compensation claims on behalf of victims of trafficking and human exploitation. The department deals with inquests. The public law team frequently deal with 6 figure claims in the High Court.
The firm provides advice and representations in all aspects of relationship breakdown, disputes in respect of children and financial remedies. The firm acts in the full range of cases stretching from pre-nuptial agreements, straightforward divorce through to complex high-value settlements and child abduction matters. Family partner Baljit Bains won the 2016 LALY family Lawyer of the year. The firm has an established surrogacy and adoption team and has considerable experience in acting for alternative families.
The firm has a highly experienced team able to deal with any aspect of refugee law, personal and family immigration, nationality and European Free movement. With meticulous preparation many applications are successfully resolved on the initial submission to the Home Office. Equally if there is a problem the firm is experienced in conducting appeals.
