Mr. Kobayashi has a wealth of practical experience handling high-profile insolvency and restructuring proceedings, including large-scale corporate reorganizations. Mr. Kobayashi served as the chairperson of the Study Committee on the Bankruptcy Law System of the Japan Federation of Bar Associations and was a member of the study group for the business revitalization process organized by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (2012–13), vice-chairperson of the Japan Insolvency Lawyers Network, and a Senior managing director of the Japanese Association for Business Recovery. Further, he is a representative director of the Japanese Association of Turnaround Professionals and a chairperson of the study group on Guidelines applicable to Guarantees made by the Management, established by The Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Japanese Bankers Association.
