Yuichi Miyashita

Yuichi is a partner of capital markets practice in Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu and has been recognized for his expertise in this area by Chambers Global (Band 3 rating for Capital Markets Domestic), Chamers Asia-Pacific (Band 3 rating for Capital Markets Domestic), IFLR1000 (Highly regarded for Capital Markets), The Legal 500 Asia Pacific (Next Generation Partner for Capital Markets, Japan), Lexology Index (Recommended for Capital Markets, Japan) and the Best Lawyers in Japan (Capital Markets Law). Yuichi utilizes his work experience at equity capital market division of a major investment bank. He handles a wide variety of capital market transactions, including IPOs, equity and debt primary/secondary follow-on offerings, third-party allotments, block trades and transactions of class shares, warrants, convertible bonds and security token offerings, in both domestic and international markets.

Yuichi also advises on sustainable finance and sustainability disclosure. He has been awarded as “Green Ambassador” by The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific Green Guide 2024 and recognized for his strongest involvement with sustainability matters. In addition to his capital markets practice, he advises on financial regulations, M&A transactions, corporate governance and general corporate matters.

Yuichi worked at Thompson Hine LLP’s New York office in 2016 and SMBC Nikko Securities Inc. (Equity Capital Markets Divisions) from 2016 and 2017 as a secondment. He graduated from University of California, Los Angeles, School of Law (LL.M.), Osaka University (LL.B.) and Kyoto University Law School (J.D.).

Joined Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu in 2010 and became partner in 2020. Seconded to Thompson Hine LLP, New York in 2016 and SMBC Nikko Securities Inc., Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets in 2016 to 2017.
