Practicing in the capital markets area and providing advice relating to offering of equity and debt securities by Japanese and non-Japanese companies including major financial institutions in the Japanese market and overseas market, offering of fund interests in Japan, investment in start-up companies, granting of equity awards and securities law related issues including disclosure related issues and insider trading issues. Also practices in areas such as financial regulations, corporate and M&A, corporate governance and international dispute related matters.

Career

Joined Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu in 2001; became partner in 2014. Worked at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP (New York) in 2007-2008; Securities Business Division, Supervisory Bureau, Financial Services Agency in 2009-2010.
