Nicola is the head of the family team, looking after clients coping with all aspects of family breakdown. Nicola prides herself on providing a quick and responsive service, giving pragmatic and concise advice to help resolve matters without unnecessary conflict.

Nicola trained with a niche family law firm in the City, before joining a well-known West End Firm in 1998. She joined Stevens & Bolton in 2004 and became a partner in 2007. In 2016 she became head of the practice.

Nicola has extensive experience dealing with mid to high value divorce, including complex financial proceedings. Nicola has drafted numerous pre and post nuptial agreements, and advises unmarried families on the breakdown of their relationships, as well as dealing with disputes in relation to children. She has strong relationships with a number of financial advisers and often assists high-net-worth families with wealth planning by advising on how best to protect against the consequences of divorce.

Nicola is a trained Resolution collaborative lawyer. She is also a member of Resolution and previously sat on the Surrey Resolution Committee. She has written articles and provided expert comment on various legal issues for several newspapers and journals, as well as for BBC Breakfast and BBC Radio London. She also speaks at seminars on various family-related issues. Nicola has been listed in the Spears Index of Family Lawyers for a number of years and is shown as one of their top recommendations in the recent 2022 index.
