Neil advises on a wide range of restructuring and insolvency matters and is one of the few solicitors to hold an insolvency officeholder’s licence. He has in-depth experience in the financial institutions sector, having worked with banks, funds, building societies and insurers. Neil has advised on many insurance company insolvencies and specialises in advising companies which are in run-off. He also has significant experience in the retail sector and recently worked on the CVAs for the Arcadia group. His work is frequently contentious in nature and often involves jurisdictions other than England, including Hong Kong (where he spends part of his time), Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, Singapore, BVI, Trinidad, Gibraltar, Barbados and the Isle of Man.
