Practice Areas
Miriam is a specialist in international and cross-border disputes, with a strong focus on commercial litigation and international arbitration. She has extensive experience across a wide range of sectors, including banking and finance, renewable energy, property development, hospitality and telecoms.
Her arbitration practice encompasses commercial arbitration as well as investment treaty arbitration and a substantial part of her court practice is focused on arbitration-related applications and arbitration enforcement proceedings before the English courts. Miriam also appears before the DIFC Courts and is a DIFC Court Part II Registered Practitioner.
In addition to her counsel work, she also regularly sits as an arbitrator and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Prior to joining Chambers in 2011, Miriam qualified as a solicitor at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (2003-2005) and then spent six years practising in the dispute resolution departments at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Olswang.
