Michel Gagné

Partner based in Montréal, Michel’s practice focuses on commercial and civil litigation, and more specifically on complex technical litigation.

Michel specializes in defending class actions as well as in environmental litigation. More specifically, he defends manufacturers’ liability class actions related to pharmaceutical and consumer products, as well as medical devices. Michel also defends clients facing major environmental class actions. He has extensive lead counsel experience in personal injury cases and in cases involving toxicology and scientific issues. He regularly pleads before the civil courts at certification stage and he has significant trial experience. His experience includes numerous proceedings for damages, injunctive relief and judicial review. Michel also acts as lead appellate attorney. He has experience in statutory penal law and has pleaded before numerous administrative tribunals and arbitration boards.
