Head of the rural property team, Michael is an Accredited Specialist in agricultural law. He advises on all aspects of rural property law, and has particular expertise in the acquisition and disposal of high-value estates and farms. He also provides specialised advice on agricultural holdings law, crofting law, mineral and sporting rights, and renewable energy, and has developed a niche practice dealing with titles known as feudal dignities and related heraldic issues. Michael previously worked at the Registers of Scotland so is well placed to advise on the new land registration system in Scotland.
