Michael Rosenberg

Michael is a Litigation Partner in the Toronto office of McCarthy Tétrault LLP and Vice-Chair of the firm’s National Class Actions Group. His practice focuses on class actions and complex commercial and constitutional disputes. Representing both defendants and plaintiffs, Michael has litigated class actions at trial and at all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada. Prior to joining McCarthy Tétrault, Michael served as a Law Clerk to the Right Honourable Beverley McLachlin, Chief Justice Canada. He has taught class actions as an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law since 2010 and is a co-author of leading texts on the subject. Michael was named Litigator of the Year at the 2026 Canadian Law Awards.
