Band 4
Provided by Michael Newton
Mike has significant experience litigating intellectual property issues before the Western and Eastern Districts of Texas, two of the busiest courts for IP matters. As a seasoned litigator here, and among many other federal courts, Mike has the experience needed to tackle any IP matters at hand, including coordinating international litigation.
Many of the matters Mike has been responsible for involve multiple parties and multiple jurisdictions, often within multiple countries. For example, he has represented clients in federal courts in over a dozen states and has handled numerous investigations before the U.S. International Trade Commission. He has also helped to coordinate litigation in Asia and Europe with U.S. litigation. Mike participates in patent license negotiations and advises and counsels clients seeking to acquire, sell, and otherwise monetize intellectual property assets.
