Matthew Pekofsky

Matthew is a partner in the Real Property & Planning Group at McCarthy Tétrault, based in Montréal. A highly skilled negotiator, he is trusted by clients to secure optimal terms that address and safeguard both their immediate objectives and long-term interests. Known for his efficiency and attention to detail, Matthew is best known for his ability to consistently complete transactions on time and with minimal disruption, ensuring a smooth and seamless process from start to finish. He works with institutions, pension funds, REITs, and life assurance companies, as well as private investors, on a diverse range of transactions across all commercial real estate classes, including, industrial, office, multi-residential, and hotels, and senior residences.

Matthew has worked on some of the Quebec’s most notable and featured commercial real estate transactions, including the privatization of public real estate investment trusts, land assemblies for the purpose of large scale residential developments and the creation and dismantling of industrial parks, as well as complex land use and site integration projects for retail and lifestyle purposes, as well as other sophisticated real estate transactions structured as share or unit acquisitions and dispositions.
