Mark leads Freshfields’ competition litigation team in London, and is co-head of the firm’s global antitrust litigation group. He specialises in cartel and abuse of dominance competition investigations and particularly in competition damages litigation. He also co-leads Freshfields’ collective and class actions skills group. Mark has represented clients in many of the leading competition damages litigation cases and collective proceedings in the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal, High Court and appeal courts, including the Merricks v Mastercard and BritNed v ABB cases. He frequently coordinates investigations and litigation globally. Mark has been recognised internationally as a leading antitrust litigator.
Mark joined Freshfields in 1999. He became a partner in 2011 and has led Freshfields’ London competition litigation team since 2017.
