Mario Lara

Mario is Of Counsel at Nader Hayaux Goebel and specializes in foreign trade and customs law. His practice focuses on customs advisory and litigation, origin verifications, tax audits conducted by the Mexican Tax Administration Service (SAT), foreign trade promotion programmes (IMMEX, VAT Certification, PROSEC and Rule 8), and trade remedy proceedings.

He regularly advises domestic and international clients on the design and implementation of customs and foreign trade strategies, helping them maximize the benefits of Mexico's foreign trade promotion programmes and extensive network of free trade agreements. Mario also represents domestic industries, exporters and importers in anti-dumping, countervailing duty, scope and other trade remedy proceedings, as well as in complex customs and regulatory disputes.

He has extensive experience advising clients across the manufacturing, automotive, consumer goods and industrial sectors on customs compliance, cross-border supply chains, import and export operations, and regulatory strategies for international trade.
