Yves Hayaux-du-Tilly Laborde

Yves Hayaux-du-Tilly is a founding partner of Nader Hayaux Goebel and one of Latin America's leading insurance and reinsurance lawyers. For more than 35 years, he has advised insurers, reinsurers, multinational companies, governments, investors and business groups on complex insurance, regulatory, financing and M&A matters throughout Mexico and Latin America.

Yves is also widely recognised for his work in climate and nature governance. He advises boards of directors, investors and family offices on integrating climate- and nature-related risks and opportunities into corporate governance, fiduciary duties and long-term investment strategies, supporting organisations in their transition towards a regenerative economy.

Chambers & Partners has consistently recognised Yves as a Star Individual in Insurance in Latin America, a distinction he has held for nearly two decades as the only Mexican lawyer to receive this ranking. Under his leadership, Nader Hayaux Goebel has also remained the only Mexican law firm ranked in Band 1 for Insurance since the inception of the Chambers rankings.

He heads the firm's (Re)Insurance Practice and leads its Sustainability Transition (ESG) and Corporate Integrity initiatives. He also established and led the firm's London office, strengthening relationships with insurers, reinsurers, international law firms and multinational companies doing business in Mexico and Latin America.

Yves is the founder and Co-Chair of Chapter Zero Mexico, serves on the Board of Chapter Zero UK and is a Trustee of the Chapter Zero Alliance. He is also Vice-President of the Executive Committee of the International Association of Insurance Law (AIDA) and chairs its Climate Change and Catastrophic Risks Working Party.
