For more than thirty years, Yves has been advising Mexican and foreign investors in mergers & acquisitions, financing transactions and corporate matters in Mexico and Latin America. He is widely recognised as one of LatAm’s leading experts on insurance and reinsurance, climate governance and sustainability. He is the managing partner of NHG’s pioneering London office, advising insurance and reinsurance companies, law firms, family offices and international corporations, multinationals and Governments in their operations in Mexico and Latin America, and leads NHG’s (Re)Insurance Practice, as well as its Sustainable Transition/ESG Working Group.

Yves is the co-author of ICLG – Environment, Social & Governance Law 2023; the Law Reviews’ Insurance and Reinsurance 2012-2023; The Legal 500 Insurance & Reinsurance Comparative Guide 2023; Practical Law Insurance and Reinsurance Global Guide 2021; the first and second editions of the Primer on Climate Change: Directors’ Duties and Disclosure Obligations published by the Climate Governance Initiative and the Commonwealth Climate and Law Initiative in June 2021, and July 2022, respectively; and author of the Spanish edition of the Guiding Principles and Questions to Set Up Effective Climate Governance on Corporate Boards, published by the World Economic Forum in January 2019, and of the Monography on Insurance Law in Mexico published by the International Encyclopaedia of Law in 2015 and updated as of July 2019.
