Marie-Josée Marcoux

Marie-Josée Marcoux is a partner in the Real Property and Planning Group in Montréal, where she focuses on real estate finance and commercial real estate transactions. She acts for lenders and borrowers on acquisition financings, construction financings and CMHC-insured and conventional mortgage financings, as well as syndicated and cross-border financings for multinationals and the taking of security on a nation-wide scale. She also advises real estate investment trusts and major corporations on acquisitions, dispositions and restructurings, including the purchase and sale of commercial, industrial, retail and residential real estate portfolios, and practises in both French and English.

She holds a Bachelor of Civil Law (LL.B.) from the Université de Sherbrooke, Co-op Program, and was called to the Québec bar in 2009. She began her career at another leading national firm and joined McCarthy Tétrault in 2011.

She is a member of the Barreau du Québec and of the Canadian Bar Association, where she sits on its Real Property section. She is also active with the Urban Development Institute of Québec (IDU), Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and McCarthy Tétrault's Women Leadership Circle.
