Marie-Hélène’s expertise includes compliance with language legislation, consumer protection, electronic commerce and documents, privacy, antispam, and intellectual property matters, and the distribution and marketing of regulated products and services.

Doing business in Quebec raises a variety of unique issues, including in relation to the particularities of Quebec civil law, Quebec’s strict consumer protection regime and compliance with the French language requirements set out in Quebec’s Charter of the French Language, which language requirements extend to advertising through websites, social media, signage or other means.
