Lindsay Rowell

Practice Areas

Lindsay practises all aspects of commercial litigation with a focus on complex construction, infrastructure, and energy disputes. She has expertise in domestic and international commercial arbitration. Lindsay regularly appears at all levels of Court in Alberta and has significant experience in applications, trials, and appeals. She also acts in regulatory proceedings, including before the Alberta Energy Regulator and the Alberta Securities Commission, and in matters before the Supreme Court of Canada.

Lindsay is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb) and the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR) Y-ADR Steering Committee. She regularly speaks and publishes articles about topical issues in litigation and arbitration in Canada.

Lindsay is an instructor for the University of Calgary Faculty of Law Advocacy Program. She also volunteers with the Alberta Court of King’s Bench Amicus Program, where she provides pro bono advice to unrepresented litigants. At Blakes, Lindsay is co-chair of the Calgary Student Committee.
