A lawyer graduated from the Argentine Catholic University on March 20th, 1986. Since then, he has been in the lawyers’ practice as a partner in the López Saavedra-Abogados Law Firm; in 2000 he became a founder partner in the López Saavedra, Armando, Esnaola & Vidal Raffo Law Firm; then, since July, 2016, he has been a founder partner in the López Saavedra & Villarroel Law Firm. Since 1986 he has acted as a legal advisor for local and foreign insurance and reinsurance companies. He has acted as a consultant for the World Bank, as a member of the work team that was awarded the international private bidding called for by said Bank in order to prepare the drafts for the amendment of laws Nos. 17.418 and 20.091, which govern the Argentine insurance and reinsurance activity.

He has broad experience and a very long trajectory in Insurance Law, Reinsurance Law, Maritime Law and Aeronautic Law. He has wide experience in contractual and extracontractual legal disputes, both in the civil and commercial areas. He is a legal advisor in the insurance and reinsurance markets, with extended experience in coverages and disputes related to energy, liability, loss of pro ts, operations all risks, contract and tort claims, D&O, marine, aviation and mediation proceedings, court proceedings and arbitration proceedings related to the above-mentioned practice areas. Legal representative for foreign reinsurance companies registered with the Argentine Regulatory Authority to operate as reinsurers in the country. Former legal representative for the Argentine branch of IRB Brasil Resseguros S.A. Former Statutory Trustee in La Meridional Compañía Argentina de Seguros S.A.(AIG). Former Director in Generali Cia de Seguros SA. He has participated as a lecturer in local and international seminars and conferences related to insurance and reinsurance, as well as in civil and commercial matters.
